About Hyvemind
Hyvemind is an independent, solutions-focused publication and civic initiative working to build collective understanding around the systems and conditions shaping culture, identity, place and power.
Our work brings together original reporting and contributions from our community of artists, educators, writers and civic workers who help shape our coverage.
Together; we publish work that supports people in understanding themselves, their communities and the world they’re moving through so they can become active participants in building what comes next
Alongside our editorial work, Hyvemind offers scholarship and sliding-scale communications support for artists, nonprofits and underserved founders whose work strengthens public life.
What we do
We gather and share the collective wisdom communities need to build a more connected, creative and livable future.
We believe valuable knowledge exists far beyond universities, boardrooms and political institutions.
It lives in neighborhoods, community groups, artists’ studios, local businesses, grassroots organizations, mutual aid networks and the everyday experiences of ordinary people.
Our work is dedicated to finding those ideas, stories and solutions and making them accessible to others.
-
Stories that map the connections between personal and systemic wellbeing.
-
Projects co-created with local contributors to amplify underrepresented voices and regional narratives.
-
Essays and multimedia exploring how art, design and media reflect collective resilience.
-
We spotlight the organizations, programs and community-led initiatives creating tangible solutions that others can learn from and adapt.
