About HYVEMIND

HYVEMIND is a media collective and cultural archive dedicated to democratizing how stories are told and shared.

Through investigative reporting, community-driven storytelling and collaborative inquiry, we work both within and alongside communities to surface overlooked voices and build collective knowledge as we examine the systems shaping everyday life—and the local realities behind them.

We create a space where people can share their perspectives, connect across differences and grow together while amplifying their knowledge into journalism that drives understanding, meaning and change.

What we believe

At HYVEMIND we believe systems shape selves, and selves can—and must—reshape systems.

We believe storytelling is a tool for memory, meaning and mutual recognition—and that the most vital narratives often begin far from the spotlight

We treat journalism as civic infrastructure designed to carry weight, distribute resources and leave communities sturdier than we found them.

What We Create

  • that examines the systems and movements impacting everything from pop culture to public policy. Our on-the-ground cultural reporting serves as both media and research, giving readers and partners access to the stories, shifts and behaviors in the making.

  • Multimedia storytelling and reader submitted content that archives the lives, voices and perspectives often left out of mainstream media.

  • that bring people into the same room—online or IRL—to listen, learn, support and create together.

From teach-ins to clothing swaps to roundtable salons we’re building space for critical connection and leaving behind tangible impact: resources distributed, voices archived, networks formed, care practices exchanged.
